“I shall choose friends among men, but neither slaves nor masters. And I shall choose only such as please me, and them I shall love and respect, but neither command nor obey. And we shall join our hands when we wish, or walk alone when we so desire.” | Ayn Rand, Anthem

Give us this day, Lord, our daily miracle.
Even if we are incapable of noticing it because our mind is focussed on great deeds and conquests. Even if we are too preoccupied with day-to-day life to know that our path was changed by it.
And when we are sad, help us to keep our eyes open to the life around us: a flower opening, the stars in the sky, the distant singing of a bird or a child’s voice nearby.
Help us to understand that there are certain things so important that we have to discover them without anyone’s help. And that we should not feel alone and helpless, because You are there with us, ready to intervene if our feet go perilously close to the abyss.
Help us to continue onward despite the fear and to accept the inexplicable despite our need to explain and know everything.
Help us to understand that Love’s strength lies in its contradictions and that Love lasts because it changes and not because it stays the same and never faces any challenges.
And to understand, too, that each time we see the humble exalted and the arrogant humbled, we are witnessing a miracle.
Help us to know that when our legs are tired, we can keep walking thanks to the strength in our hearts, and that when our hearts are tired, we can still carry on thanks to the strength of our Faith.

Meditation Is Mastery
The society gives language; the society cannot exist without language. Human society is an outgrowth of language; there are no animal societies because they have no language. Language creates the society. Society needs language; existence doesn’t need it. Existence can be without language; society cannot be. So I am not saying that you must be without language – you will have to be with language. But this mechanism must be a mechanism which can be put on and off.
When you are a social being the mechanism must be on: the mechanism of language. Without this you cannot exist within society. But when you are with existence, the mechanism must be turned off – and you must be able to put it off, otherwise the mechanism is mad. If you cannot turn it off – and it goes on and on, and you are not capable of putting it off, then the mechanism has taken hold over you – then you have become just a slave to the mechanism, to the instrument. Mind must be used as an instrument, and not as a master. It has become the master.
Mind as master is the non-meditative state. You, the consciousness as the master, is the meditative state. So meditation is mastering the mechanism, the mind.

Although anxiety is part of life, never let it control you.
If it comes too close, say: “I’m not worried about tomorrow, because God is there already, waiting for me.
”If it tries to persuade you that taking on lots of jobs means having a productive life, say: “I need time to look at the stars in order to feel inspired and to be able to do my job well.”
If it threatens you with the ghost of hunger, say: “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

"You seek escape from pain. We seek the achievement of happiness. You exist for the sake of avoiding punishment. We exist for the sake of earning rewards. Threats will not make us function; fear is not our incentive. It is not death that we wish to avoid, but life that we wish to live. You, who have lost the concept of the difference, you who claim that fear and joy are incentives of equal power—and secretly add that fear is the more “practical”—you do not wish to live, and only fear of death still holds you to the existence you have damned." | Atlas Srugged

When without money, eats wild vegetables at home; When has money, eats same wild vegetables in fine restaurant. When without money, rides bicycle; When has money, rides the same exercise machine. When without money, walks to earn food; When has money, walks to burn the fat. Man O Man ! never fails to deceive thyself ! When without money, wishes to get married; When has money, wishes to get divorced. When without money, wife becomes secretary; When has money, secretary becomes wife. When without money, acts like rich man; When has money, acts like poor man. |

We love because
Nature is a manifestation of the Love of God.
Regardless of what we do, Nature continues to love us.
Let us, therefore, respect and understand what Nature teaches us.
Regardless of what we do, Nature continues to love us.
Let us, therefore, respect and understand what Nature teaches us.
We love because Love sets us free, and we say things that we once never even had the courage to whisper to ourselves.
We make a decision that we kept putting off.
We learn to say ‘No’ without thinking of that word as somehow cursed.
We learn to say ‘Yes’ without fearing the consequences.
We make a decision that we kept putting off.
We learn to say ‘No’ without thinking of that word as somehow cursed.
We learn to say ‘Yes’ without fearing the consequences.
We forget everything we were taught about Love, because each encounter is different and brings its own agonies and ecstasies.
We sing more loudly when the person we love is far away and whisper poems when he is near, even if he doesn’t listen and pays no attention to either our shouts or our whispers.
We don’t close our eyes to the Universe and then complain: ‘It’s dark.’
We keep our eyes wide open, knowing that the light could lead us to do undreamed-of things.
That is all part of love.
We keep our eyes wide open, knowing that the light could lead us to do undreamed-of things.
That is all part of love.
Our heart is open to love and we surrender to it without fear, because we have nothing more to lose.
Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.
Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.

On Solitude
For those who are not frightened by the solitude that reveals all mysteries, everything will have a different taste.
In solitude, they will discover the love that might otherwise arrive unnoticed. In solitude, they will understand and respect the love that left them.
In solitude, they will be able to decide whether it is worth asking that lost love to come back or if they should simply let it go and set off along a new path.
In solitude, they will learn that saying ‘No’ does not always show a lack of generosity and that saying ‘Yes’ is not always a virtue.
And those who are alone at this moment, need never be frightened by the words of the devil: ‘You’re wasting your time.’
Or by the chief demon’s even more potent words: ‘No one cares about you.’
Or by the chief demon’s even more potent words: ‘No one cares about you.’
The Divine Energy is listening to us when we speak to other people, but also when we are still and silent and able to accept solitude as a blessing.
And in that moment, Its light illumines everything around us and helps us to see that we are necessary, and that our presence on Earth makes a huge difference to Its work.

I have left a few paltry rupees, a few petty pleasures, for a cosmic empire of endless bliss. How then have i denied myself anything? I know the joy of sharing the treasure. Is that a sacrifice? The shortsighted worldly folks are verily the real renunciates! They relinquish an unparalleled divine possession for a poor handful of earthly toys.

Imagine.
Imagine you walked into your room to find your twin sitting where you were sitting. Working on what you were working on.
Except.. He’s not working like you were working, nowhere near. He is NOTHING like you. Infact, the STRENGTH you feel just by being in his presence, makes you whisper to yourself, “woah”.
He has a look in his eye, an uprightness to his posture and a spiritual energy that tells you, without any words spoken that he is getting what he wants. Whatever it is. Full stop.
Your hairs stand on end like you just came across a Lion, and he’s staring right at you about to pounce. But you’re twin is not even looking at you. He has no awareness of your presence. He is focused.
You know at this point that you’re looking at something very strange. The likes of which, you have never seen live, in the flesh, before.
He is not even an alpha male. He is something much bigger, much stronger than that.
He is greatness.
You get a sense standing next to him, that this is what it must have been like to stand next to Alexander The Great, Winston Churchill or Napoleon Bonaparte in their prime.
But he is not them. He is you, down to the bone. There is nothing in him that is not in you.
You know this.
I know you do, deep down, we all do.
Despite this, the question always seems to remain.
Why aren’t you that guy?
The answer is FEAR.
The only thing separating you from that guy is this four letter word. That’s it.
So now decide.
Go and be that guy.

"Let me tell you a story. It is actually an experiment that was conducted at the University of Chicago.
A young, healthy and intelligent man wakes up and gets ready to go to work. His wife looks at him and tells, 'You are looking tired, are you feeling okah?'
He feels irritated by her comment and tells her to stop imagining things and leaves to work. As he takes his car out of the garage, his neighbor is watching him and shouts out, 'Are you feeling well? You look out of sorts!'
The man is surprised this time, but tells him that he is alright and drives out. He reaches his office, and as he walks in, the receptionist looks at him with concern and says, 'Sir, you look ill! Why did you come to work?' The man replies, 'Well, I think I'm fine. Let's see...' And he goes into his office.
He starts working and a colleague enters and exclaims, 'Hey! You look awful. What's the matter? Do you have a fever or something?'
Now, this is too much for the man. He begins to feel uneasy and sick. Just then his boss calls him and he goes in. The boss takes one look at him and says, 'You look realy unwell. Are you sure you can carry on today? Why don't you go and see a doctor?'
The young man has had enough. He feels he is actually ill now, and decides to go home.
As he drives home, he feels his temperature rising. When he reaches home, his wife is surprised to see him back. She reaches out and touches his forehead and finds that he has a temperature!
He developed a high temperature!
This experiment was conducted on 11 people and all the 11 people fell sick at the end of it!
Understand, this is what happens when you are not centered in your own inner energy. You will move from a high to a low because of outer influences.
Once you have found your center, that is your being, you are able to go back to it consciously to get rejuvenated. All of your inner strengths start unfolding and you begin to develop courage, energy, stamina, confidence and leadership qualities. Your work ability takes a quantum leap. You become your own source of energy and popular as well, because you are an energizing personality!"
Darwin's Perspective - When we recognize that we are truly collections of energy and that our every interaction with another person or object is an exchange of energy, we can begin to understand the symbiotic relationship we have with one another.
All of the customs, rules and norms that our society has established are convenient methods for control but the simple truth remains that our Bodies, Spirits and Minds are rarely able to be confined into such restrictive boundaries. Thus we have frustrations, anxiety, ailments and struggles as our energetic beings attempt to exist within these confines. Every so often we break free and connect regardless of such bounds only to return on Monday morning in an attempt to conform and fit in.
But we can live happy, responsible lives within society and still be true to our energetic nature. We must first recognize that our every interaction establishes a string-like connection to that person that we will retain forever. Our connections to others will either drain us or fuel us. And so too we will either drain or energize the people we are connected to. Our symbiotic relationships with one another span the boundaries of time and space despite our logical minds telling us that we have no connection to our past actions.
From your childhood playground interactions to today's morning commute, you are connected to every person with which you've interacted. And when you maintain your center in this cosmic array of connections, energy ebbs and flows in between like waves rolling onto the beach. The key is to find your balance, your center and maintain that position within this active connection you have to everything

Warriors of light are never predictable.
They might dance down the street on their way to work, gaze into the eyes of a complete stranger and speak of love at first sight, or else defend an apparently absurd idea.
Warriors of light allow themselves days like these. They are not afraid to weep over ancient sorrows or to feel joy at new discoveries.
When they believe that the moment has arrived, they drop everything and go off on some long-dreamed-of adventure.
When they realize that they can do no more, they never blame themselves for having committed a few unexpected acts of folly. Warriors do not spend a single day trying to play the role that others have chosen for them.
They talk out loud to themselves. Someone told them that this is the best way of communicating with the angels, and so they take a chance and try to make contact.
They say things which they do not agree, they talk utter nonsense.
One day, they notice a change in their voice.
They are acting as a channel for some higher wisdom.
The warriors may look mad, but this is just a disguise.

"The problem with modern man is that we have forgotten the language of silence, we have forgotten the way of the heart. We have completely forgotten that there is a life which can be lived through the heart. We are too much hung up in the head, and because we are too much in the head we cannot make any sense out of love.
It becomes more and more problematic." Osho
